Maintains Constant Pressure

One of the most significant advantages of using the FMS duo+® system is the ability to maintain constant pressure throughout a surgical case. Most pumps on the market only provide inflow irrigation and thus require wall suction for outflow. This means to increase pressure, you must increase flow. This can lead to tissue extravasation and excessive saline usage.

Inflow and Outflow Control

The FMS duo®+ supplies both irrigation and suction in one unit. Both roller pumps are computer controlled and manage fluid continuously. The integrated suction pump selects shaver or cannula suction automatically, reducing labor intensive manipulations.

Because FMS allows the arthroscopist to control inflow and outflow, you can control pressure and flow independently. As a result, this control will help address and minimize risk of extravasation concerns.
